A man fell from the roof of the Gradisca CPR (Gorizia) where he was taking part in a protest together with other guests of the facility and was seriously injured.
It happened yesterday evening, during protests by numerous irregular immigrants awaiting repatriation who live in the former Polonio barracks.
The man, also a migrant, was taken by helicopter to the Cattinara hospital in Trieste, where he was hospitalized for fractures in various parts of his body.
His condition is serious.
During the protest - as reported by the newspaper Il Piccolo - mattresses were set on fire in the dormitories in the so-called green zone;
then the immigrants would have entered the red zone reaching, it seems about ten of them, the roof of the CPR.
However, one of them fell, falling about six metres.
The doctors who arrived from the Palmanova operations center stabilized the man and then took him to the hospital in the Julian capital.
The police also intervened and with great difficulty, the newspaper reports, managed to restore calm among the guests.
