A Chacarita Juniors fan died after being stabbed in a fight in one of the stands of the San Martín stadium during the first half of the match played this afternoon against Deportivo Maipú de Mendoza, for the first round of the Primera Nacional.
The episode occurred in the local capital, as a result of an internal raid, security sources told Télam.
Due to what happened, the game was delayed at halftime until referee Pablo Giménez decided to continue it with the approval of the head of the police operation after a meeting in the locker room.
"A situation was recorded that the police have already resolved. We have the guarantee to continue the match," the referee explained to the TyC Sports channel when returning to the playing field to continue the match that Chacarita ended up winning 2-0.

Two antagonistic groups from the "Tambero" bar clashed on one of the entrances to the field, minutes before the start of the game, with an exchange of stones that led to police intervention.
During the incidents, explosions were heard from security personnel, according to video records made by fans who were already inside the field waiting for the game.
Cañuelas-Midland was one of the six matches on the first date of the B Metropolitana that were scheduled for this Saturday.
