“The mild weather continues this weekend,” writes Météo France.
And it should continue at the beginning of next week, before the arrival of a disrupted flow in the country.
Rain is expected in the northern half of France from Wednesday and should affect “a large part of the country” at the end of the week.
This Saturday and Sunday, “clouds will remain predominant in the north, leaving little chance of sunshine, and possibly even giving some light scattered rain,” forecasts Météo France.
However, nice clearings are expected around the Mediterranean and the southwest.
Temperatures will “remain mild” with 9°C to 13°C in the northern half, and up to 25°C on the Mediterranean coast.
☔️💨Drop in atmospheric pressure to be expected: the high pressures present in #France for several days will give way to a strongly depressional #weather from the middle of next week.

Nord-Pas-de-Calais in the rain again
“The start of the week should be in line with the weekend”, but “the conditions will change in the middle of the week” with the arrival of a “disturbed flow over the north of France”, writes Météo France .
In the northern half, rain is expected on Wednesday and Thursday, before a new disturbance on Friday and Saturday, which “should concern a large part of the country”.
After several floods in recent weeks, "the situation of waterways in Nord-Pas-de-Calais will once again need to be monitored", warns La Chaîne Météo, because "next weekend, we expect totals varying from 20 at 70 mm on the northern half.

In addition to the rain, La Chaîne Météo expects “a sudden drop in temperatures” at the end of next week, “losing 3 to 5°C compared to what we are currently experiencing”.
Météo France also speaks of a drop in temperatures, which should however “still remain above seasonal averages.

After the mildness of January, the return of these colder temperatures allows us to expect snow "at high altitude from Friday February 9 in the Alps and the Pyrenees", writes Météo France.
Next weekend, snowfall could “affect lower altitudes, or even other massifs.
