More fear than harm: Friday February 3 in the evening, the inhabitants of Excideuil in Dordogne witnessed the collapse of part of the cliff which overlooks the road which goes towards Thiviers, on the avenue du Doctor Jean Rabaud, reports France Bleu.
No one was injured in the landslide.
“Blocks of rocks fell on this axis making any passage impossible. Please do not use this sector”
communicated the town hall of the town on its Facebook page, late in the evening Friday February 2.
Rocks fell on the RD76 road (avenue Jean Rabaud) in Excideuil on Friday evening.

If the fall of the blocks of rock, with a volume of approximately
“2000 cubic meters”
according to France Bleu, did not cause any casualties, it did however cause damage: in addition to the roadway, the rocks deteriorated power lines and water pipes.
The collapse of an electricity pole did not cause a cut in the network, according to Enedis, but 12 homes were deprived of running water, and an elderly person had to be rehoused.
Packs of water were distributed to residents.
