Highlights: “All major critical infrastructure structures” – Ukraine wants to hit Russia more often with drones. In January alone, drones in Russia damaged several oil and gas processing facilities by dropping grenades or crashing. The export volume of gasoline and diesel has been reduced by seven percentage points and twelve percentage points respectively in the past 25 days. The prices for petrol and diesel at petrol stations have so far only fluctuated slightly. With the attacks in Russia itself, Ukraine is tying up Russian anti-aircraft technology far from the front. Ukraine is now attacking important infrastructure in Russia with drones almost every day and will continue to increase the number of attacks.

Statements from the head of the secret service indicate this.

According to the US TV channel CNN, to which he gave an interview, there is “hypothetically a plan” that the number of drone attacks in Russia will increase.

“And I believe that this plan includes all major critical infrastructure and military structures in the Russian Federation,” said Budanov.

At the same time, he refused to attribute previous attacks in Russia to Ukraine.

In January alone, drones in Russia damaged several oil and gas processing facilities by dropping grenades or crashing, including at least two large facilities near St. Petersburg - more than 800 kilometers from Ukraine.

The technology of border regions such as Bryansk, Krasnodar and Belgorod is more often affected.

As it also became known on Thursday, Ukraine sank a Russian missile ship (Ivanovets) in a bay in Crimea on Thursday night, according to military intelligence - using water drones.

Export quantity for fuel reduced

The Russian leadership is trying not to let the effects of these attacks on oil storage facilities be felt.

The export volume of gasoline and diesel has been reduced by seven percentage points and twelve percentage points respectively in the past 25 days, reports the Russian specialist portal neftegaz.ru.

Compared to January 2023, 37 and 23 percent fewer are being carried out.

At the same time, production volumes at unaffected locations were increased.

The prices for petrol and diesel at petrol stations have so far only fluctuated slightly.

With the attacks in Russia itself, Ukraine is tying up Russian anti-aircraft technology far from the front.

The incidents always cause excitement among the population, at least for a short time.

Ultimately, Ukraine is driving up Russia's costs for the war in a comparatively cheap way.
