The first demolition stone was symbolically marked on Thursday, in this very busy place: 16 million users use this station each year, or approximately more than 45,000 per day, which makes Melun the busiest station in Seine- et-Marne and one of the top thirty in France.
According to the SNCF, its traffic is even higher than that of Saint-Charles station in Marseille, and the daily flow is expected to increase by 30% by 2030. Such a challenge and so much waiting...
