A rocket with sails
The departure for Guyana of the first stage of Ariane 6, the new European rocket whose maiden flight is planned for this summer, is imminent.
Perhaps it even took place in the last few hours, the precise date being kept secret for security reasons;
in the middle of the week, in any case, it was time in recent days for final on-site checks.
Designed on the ArianeGroup site in Les Mureaux (Yvelines), the lower part of the launcher must reach Le Havre via the Seine, before boarding a sail cargo ship, heading towards Kourou, where other elements are already waiting for it.
Twenty-eight launches have already been ordered.
