A car tuning meeting in Freising got completely out of hand.
Shots were fired and a woman was hit and injured.
A major police operation prevented anything worse from happening.
Freising
- It's been eight weeks since a meeting of the car tuning scene in Rosenheim, which resulted in a major police operation because some participants didn't know how to behave.
On Saturday, the PI Freising had similar experiences at such a meeting at the Schlüterhallen.
As the Upper Bavaria North police headquarters announced, around 1,500 sympathizers of the car poser scene met in the Schlüterhallen parking lot on Saturday evening.
Actually, according to the police report, the meeting announced on social media was planned at Munich Airport.
“Police research has shown, however, that such an evening meeting of the scene should not take place at the airport as initially announced, but on the Schlüter premises in Freising,” as the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters wrote.
Since members of the scene had often behaved in a way that was dangerous to traffic at such meetings in the past, the police reacted immediately and prepared a special operation with controls in order to keep an eye on the scene.
Suddenly the mood changed
What initially began with the orderly behavior of the tuning fans present got out of hand as the atmosphere became increasingly heated over the course of the evening - the police had to intervene.
According to the police, around 9 p.m., driving behavior that was dangerous to traffic was discovered.
The car posers drew loud attention to themselves through so-called “burn-outs” by spinning tires while stationary.
“More than 1,000 spectators came and formed so-called poser alleys on the side of the road to watch the goings-on with up to 500 vehicles typical of the scene,” says the police press report.
The mood among the event participants became increasingly aggressive.
Shots from the crowd
From the audience, shots were fired into the air with a blank gun and fireworks were set off.
Several people daringly climbed onto the roof of the Schlüterhalle.

Shortly before midnight, the police received a report that a woman had been hit by a car in the area of the Autoposer trellis and had injured her foot.
According to initial findings, she suffered a metatarsal fracture and had to be taken to hospital.
The driver of a souped-up vehicle lost control of his car and drove into the crowd, slightly injuring a 16-year-old girl.
The daring and reckless misconduct of individual participants at this meeting called for strong police intervention.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against those who overshot the target.
The list of offenses is long, including the police investigating violations of the Weapons and Narcotics Act, bodily harm, carrying out prohibited vehicle races at extremely high speeds and violating the Aviation Act - a drone was launched several times over the crowds of spectators and the airport control zone flew.
“With the support of emergency services from the surrounding police stations and the Munich police headquarters, it was possible to prevent the event from getting out of hand and to ensure a controlled flow of the car poser scene at 11.45 p.m.,” the police said.
As part of the investigation, it became known that a smaller group, consisting of 60 vehicles, had then gathered in Aschheim.
The car tuners ended the meeting there at around 1:30 a.m. and left their last nightly meeting point without any major incidents.
