A driver who was caught in Geretsried had a high blood alcohol level.

The 35-year-old was out late on Saturday evening - and drunk.
After the man hit something, he just kept driving.
The police were able to catch him.
Dietramszell/Geretsried - A 35-year-old man from the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district was still out and about late Saturday evening.
He drove his BMW on state road 2027 from Bad Tölz to Geretsried.
His car left the road near Bairawies (municipality of Dietramszell).
According to the police, the cause is still unknown.

His journey on the side of the road was unfortunate: “He hit a traffic sign and several guide posts with his car,” said the Geretsried police station.
The driver didn't care about the damage.
He drove on to Geretsried.
The police searched for the fugitive - and with success.

The 35-year-old driver was found in Geretsried with his BMW.
The man had stopped his car in a parking lot.
It “showed massive damage in the front area”, which matched the accident on the state highway.
The police officers smelled alcohol from the driver.

After the accident, police find drunk driver: driver's license is confiscated
A breath alcohol test carried out showed a value of over 1.7 per mille.
“The Munich II public prosecutor’s office then ordered the driver’s license to be secured and a blood sample to be taken.”
The 35-year-old will now have to answer for endangering road traffic.
The Geretsried police estimate the material damage from the accident to be around 6,000 euros.
She took over the further investigation after the accident.
