After months of sun and warmth reminiscent of summer, the month of January brought with it the most significant winter system so far, with rains, winds, low temperatures for the season and even snow on the peaks, which continued into the month of February.
The heavy rainfall resulted in an unusual rise in the level of the Sea of Galilee - 13 cm at the end of last week. The Jordan also maintains a high flow of 43 cubic meters per second, which leaves the level of the Sea of Galilee at 210.46 - as of today (Sunday), 1.66 meters from the upper red line that warns of Danger of flooding in nearby areas.
