District – The “hoibe-hoibe-taxi” has started in the Miesbach district.
This means that young people, seniors and people with a severely disabled permit can travel cheaply.
Since this year, the small round “hoibe-hoibe-taxi” sticker has been stuck on the taxis of almost 20 taxi companies.
This indicates that it is part of the fleet with which young people aged 14 to 26, seniors aged 65 and over and holders of the severely disabled pass with the symbols G, aG can travel within the district at half price.
Offer after the discontinuation of the shared call taxi service
According to the district office, the “hoibe-hoibe-taxi” project was launched as a bridge after the discontinuation of the shared call taxi (AST).
As Joana Heuberger from the Mobility Development Department in the District Development Committee explained, more than 38,000 eligible citizens in the district can use this new offer.
9,000 packages worth 60 euros each are provided every year.
The district will cover half of the total costs of 540,000 euros.
All 17 district municipalities have agreed to issue vouchers with a minimum value of five euros.
Travel with checks
In order to be able to travel with the “hoibe-hoibe taxi”, those entitled must first purchase these vouchers in their communities of residence.
Each user can receive checks with a maximum value of 60 euros per month, for which they actually only have to pay 30 euros.
When booking a taxi, you should make sure in advance that the journey takes place within the district and that the taxi company also accepts the checks.
In order to redeem the vouchers when traveling with several people, at least one person in the vehicle must be eligible.
More information can be found at the municipal contacts, in the flyers available in participating taxis and at the Miesbach district office.
