One of the Israeli tourist's favorite destinations is Barcelona.
The capital of Catalonia attracts many tourists from all over the world, with crowds of tourists also coming from Israel - but these days the city is dealing with a severe drought.
In an article published in the "Daily Mail" it was reported that the severe drought in the Barcelona area will limit the use of water by tourists and citizens, which will affect, among other things, the pools and water attractions in the Spanish city.
The new restrictions are expected to affect all of Catalonia following what is being reported as the "worst drought of all time" in the autonomous community.
The new restrictions affect car washing and water use in public parks.
Use of pools in private homes and hotels will only be possible if there are systems that allow the water to be filtered and recycled, and do not require emptying and refilling the pools.

There are also restrictions in the private homes of the residents, when they were asked to reduce water consumption by 5% at this stage, when each person is asked not to consume more than 200 liters per day.
Various campsites are trying to find solutions to use sea water to avoid restrictions.
According to estimates, this is the worst drought in 1,200 years in the Catalonia region.
The farmers were also asked to reduce their water use by about 80%.
According to the report, in the hotels there is an average consumption of about 540 liters per person per day, including the use of the spa and the various pools, so this restriction may affect quite a few tourists who will come to the city.
