The interior renovation has been completed, and now the community of Fischbachau wants to bring its warm outdoor pool into shape, both technically and from the outside.

- The local council debated the exchange of two gates to the filter system room and a new ticket system at its most recent meeting.

As a result, part of the wooden formwork will be dismantled.

The committee wants to forego a new access system for the time being - and would rather look for a pragmatic solution for ticket control.

The idea of improving the current ticket system has already come up several times, Mayor Stefan Deingruber (CSU) recalled at the meeting.

So far, the turnstile has been activated individually by the cashier employees in their presence.

The town hall administration had attached an offer for an automated variant to the meeting template: You could install a receipt printer and a ticket reader for a good 21,000 euros, explained Deingruber.

Only for strollers and wheelchair users would the door have to be opened manually.

That would increase transparency, but would also not offer any possibility of control, according to the template.

Board satisfied with tenants

The mayor gave his opinion in advance: “The advantage is not that significant.” From his point of view, things would only be different if there was an internet connection, which would then also allow tickets to be purchased online.

“But license and maintenance costs would be incurred again.” Deingruber now wanted to know from the council members whether the community needed this.

Michael Gartmaier (CSU) said no. “We discussed intensively in the parliamentary group speaker meeting,” he explained.

It is already possible to record bathers.

In the past, the sale of tickets did not always work smoothly - colleagues in the parliamentary group spoke of irregularities - but that does not affect the current tenants, emphasized Gartmaier.

“Now it works perfectly.” He therefore suggested keeping the old system and commissioning the municipal services association (ZKD) to carry out random checks.

Because the ZKD does not yet offer this service, it is out of the question, replied Deingruber.

Rather, he advocated a pragmatic solution that he wanted to coordinate internally with the council members.

The committee followed this suggestion and unanimously rejected the offer for a new ticket system.

The members did not vote on replacing the gates in front of the filter system room;

An on-site appointment was agreed upon.

There the committee should get an idea of whether the wood-clad gates should be replaced in the same design - or whether cheaper metal gates should be ordered.

Then the formwork would probably have to go too.
