It could have been the romance in the jungle camp of 2024!
But instead of the happy ending, there is only the Friendzone for Leyla Lahouar.
Leyla Lahouar and Mike Heiter have been causing excitement in the 2024 jungle camp for days.
Sparks clearly fly between them – at least if you ask Leyla.
Mike sees her more as a friend with whom he likes to share a sleeping bag, as he explains to her in the semi-final.
Leyla Lahouar no longer understands the world, as MANNHEIM24 reports:

After Kim Virginia had to leave the jungle camp, Leyla Lahouar was sure: Now Mike and her big moment would come and the two would finally kiss.
At least that was the theory, because the vehicle mechatronics engineer made no move to feed his lips to Leyla's.
Frustrated, Leyla hires Fabio Knez to act as a date doctor to shed some light on the matter.
When Fabio asks why he hasn't tried anything with Leyla, Mike responds evasively.
“It’s the situation.
I don't feel comfortable in my skin.
When I hug her I always feel like I stink.
The hygiene.
The circumstances."
Mike explains: “I’ve been burdened enough with women here.”
Later on the jungle phone, however, it sounds as if there were other reasons for Mike's reticence.
“I just want to be Mike without being in contact with a woman.” He says to Fabio: “I think I've been exposed to enough women here.
I don't even know if people have gotten to know me now or if it's just discussions." By that he means his constant arguments with ex-jungle camper Kim Virginia.
In a one-on-one conversation, Mike Leyla explains why there was no kiss between the two: “We get along well and for me that’s it for now. But that’s it for now […] we get along well, but There doesn’t necessarily have to be a sexual connection behind it, everything is relaxed.”
