Two clubs, two anniversaries, one celebration committee: preparations at the fire department and the music club in Steingaden have been going on for a long time.

Steingaden – From May 29th to June 2nd, the volunteer fire department and the Steingaden music association are celebrating a big anniversary celebration and the 34th district music festival of the ASM District 3 Füssen.
Both clubs can look back on a total of 350 years of history this year.
While a brass band was first mentioned in writing in 1824, the fire department is proven to have been founded in 1874.
After years of living as neighbors in the Fohlenhof, the two clubs have both been housed under the same roof since 2003 - namely that of the fire station that was built at the time.
This is how a shared apartment has developed that not only “lives” together, but also likes to celebrate together.
The two clubs jointly organized, among other things, the district music festival in 2012. It was therefore clear that they would also celebrate their anniversaries, which fall in the same year, together.
The idea for the anniversary festival, which turns the 34th district music festival of District 3 Füssen into a large fire brigade and music festival, was born.
Preparations have been underway since mid-2022 under the leadership of the two board members Stefan Müller (fire department) and Andreas Strauß (music club).
The celebration takes place over the long weekend around Corpus Christi.
The program aims to combine highlights from both worlds.
After the ceremony and the competition games, which take place in mid-May, the Steingadeners will “really make their ears flap” at the start on Wednesday, May 29th, both clubs promise.

With the Voixxbradlers from Upper Austria comes “Full Power Rock.Pop.Brass”.
The festival and beer tent proven Saustoimusi will provide support this evening.

The organizers announce that the classic car meeting on Thursday, May 30th is the perfect excursion destination for everyone who prefers a more leisurely experience.
On Friday, May 31st, there will be special formations to experience at the marching music competition.
The big competition between the clubs on Friday evening will prove that there is not only one team in Steingaden.
We are looking for the “Steingaden anniversary couple”.
Each local fire department band team nominates a couple to compete for this title.
At the “victory party” the Muckasacks create a great atmosphere.
Final on Sunday
A fire brigade competition as well as the “Good Neighbor Day” with a star march with the bands from Prem, Wildsteig, Trauchgau, Lechbruck, Peiting, Schabs and Steingaden and an atmospheric evening are on the program on Saturday, June 1st.
The final takes place on Sunday with a celebratory service, a morning pint with the partner band from Schabs in South Tyrol, a parade, the announcement of the results and the end of the festival with the Blechbätschern.
