The first construction machines arrived in September.
Since then, construction has been going on diligently in the new construction area in Forst.
“Six houses are now under construction and all of them had their roofs sealed before Christmas,” reported Wessobrunn Mayor Georg Guggemos at an on-site visit together with the third mayor Andreas Reßler in “Rechthal”, as the construction area on the northern outskirts of Forst is called
Forst/Wessobrunn - “I'm pleased that you can already see a lot of things here and I'm also a bit proud of the local construction companies for what they've already achieved here in such a short time,” Guggemos sees the opposite in the development area Trend in the more difficult environment for home builders and the general slowdown in the construction industry.
At the same time, he also praises everyone involved in the project, from the administration and the local council to the planners and companies.
“They all made the unusually quick implementation possible,” adds Guggemos.
It took less than a year and a half from the notary contract for the purchase of the property to the groundbreaking ceremony.
“During that time, the land-use planning, the awarding and the development had to be done, these are all huge chunks and they normally take two to three years,” says Guggemos with satisfaction.
The balance sheet for development costs was also very good.
“They stayed within the scope of the plan,” says the mayor, who expects five more houses to be built in the development area this year using the exemption process.
The local council has given those willing to build eight years, a relatively long period of time before construction can begin.
A total of 16 building sites have been allocated in “Rechthal”.
“Three places for semi-detached houses are still available,” explains Guggemos.
