Saturday evening, around 9:20 p.m., the firefighters received a desperate call from a mother.
She explains to them that her child has just suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest after “falling in the bathtub”.
When emergency services arrived at this accommodation on Allée de la Butte aux Cailles, in Noisy-le-Grand (Seine-Saint-Denis), they found that the child was in a state of hypothermia.
They were immediately alerted by “the bruises found on the body” of this 5-year-old boy, specifies a police source.
They suspect acts of abuse and alert the police.
The mother's explanations do not seem convincing to them.
The hypothesis of a domestic accident is unlikely according to their findings.
The family is subject to educational monitoring
The 36-year-old mother was taken into police custody.
She is suspected of infanticide.
“An investigation was opened into the murder of a minor under the age of fifteen and was entrusted to the Paris minor protection brigade.
Two other children, born in 2013 and 2016 and present at the home, were temporarily placed,” indicated AFP.
The spouse who was not in the apartment when help arrived is being sought.
From the first elements of the investigation, it appeared that the family was the subject of educational monitoring.
“A history of abuse” had been noted, indicates a source close to the case.
