Highlights: Rossi: "No self-censorship in Sanremo, but no vulgarity" Tomorrow the results of the advertising collection will be made official: "They are very high" "Sanremo does not speak to a piece of our country, but to everything, and therefore everything must be represented", says Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi. "In the end everything is the place of politics, often even sport, inevitably also entertainment", adds the Rai CEO. "The festival is a great story. We have always placed great trust in the artistic director because Amadeus is a master"

Politics? The festival talks about society. Sanremo does not speak to a piece of our country, but to everything. A sixth festival for Amadeus? Now we are focused on 2024: he has brought storytelling to very high levels, it will be a great festival. Tomorrow the results of the advertising collection will be made official: "They are very high" (ANSA)

"I don't think it's a problem of the right, nor of the left, nor of self-censorship: where there is the artistic element there is inevitably also an element of breaking languages, of transgression, which is natural", says

the director of the Rai Giampaolo Rossi

conversing with journalists on the Rome-Sanremo train.

"I believe that the important thing is never to distort this healthy controversy and transgressiveness into vulgarity, because

Sanremo

does not speak to a piece of our country, but to everything, and therefore everything must be represented", he adds, responding to those who ask him if the festival this year it will be less nonconformist and more "right-wing".

"Every year Sanremo transforms itself into a sort of center of national debate, it is the place of meetings, of debate, of controversy, of creativity, from Sanremo a great story of our nation develops, the way in which we tell ourselves, the way in which we tell Italy to the world, it is an important responsibility", underlines Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi.

Politics at the festival?

"In the end everything is the place of politics, often even sport, inevitably also entertainment. Sanremo is the place of the story of our society and within it there is also, more often than not, politics. Sanremo has accompanied the evolution of our society, art and music are the mirror of this, and inevitably there is also room for controversy, it is part of the function of these great events", he adds.

Will the future of Sanremo be without

Amadeus

, who has announced that he wants to end his experience after five consecutive festivals?

"We are focused on the work of these days. Amadeus has been working for months to bring home the best result. We will talk about everything else later, we are absolutely focused on the work of these days", replies Rai CEO Giampaolo Rossi, in a brief exchange with journalists on the Rome-Sanremo special train.

"The festival is a great story. We have always placed great trust in the artistic director because Amadeus is a master from this point of view and has brought the Sanremo festival to very high levels of storytelling. This will also be a great festival", he adds.

As for the presenter's presence this evening on Fabio Fazio's Che tempo che fa, Rossi observes that "these are considered editorial choices, endorsed by company top management. I believe they have considered the merits of the project", says the Rai CEO, who then confirms that tomorrow the results of the advertising collection for Sanremo will be made official: "They are very high", he anticipates.
