Their truffles are invaluable.
The sniffer dogs of the RATP and SNCF dog teams are capable of detecting the presence of explosives or firearms in a few seconds.
They are very regularly called upon to deal with forgotten objects and luggage, the number of which has quadrupled since 2019. Thanks to these specially trained and trained doggies, doubts are quickly resolved, and trains can resume service.
RATP used them 816 times in 2023, or 25% more than in 2022, which made it possible to avoid around thirty-seven hours of traffic interruption.
