As part of the agreement, signed between Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David and Business Sector Presidency Chairman Dovi Amitai, it was decided to grant up to eight days of paid leave to the spouses of reservists with children up to the age of 14, as well as to extend the period of protection against dismissal for those who served in the reserves More than 60 days - for two months (instead of one month as per the law).

It was also agreed that workers, who were not allowed to use their full vacation days in 2023 due to circumstances related to the war, will be able to carry over the unused vacation days they have accrued to 2024. "It has been said for 120 days that our good sons and daughters protect us and allow us to continue living in the home country, and this agreement is an expression of our responsibility to help."
Bar-David added that "following the project we launched last week under the title 'Recruited for your sake', which invites the servants to receive various assistance services from the Histadrut even if they are not members of the organization, we decided to expand the protection umbrella against layoffs and increase the help for spouses who are faced with managing a farm home while their loved ones were called to the flag."

Amitayi said that "this is a historic move designed to remove a significant financial burden, which was unjustly imposed on employers. I would like to thank the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Labor for their cooperation in regards to ensuring the resilience of the reservists and their families."
