Highlights: The head of a council in the north responds to the IDF spokesman's statement: "They don't say where they are aiming" Giora Zaltz, head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council/Shlomi Gabai, welcomes the transparency, but believes that a more orderly plan should be presented to the public. In an interview with radio 103FM, the head of the council, Giura Zaltz, welcomed the army's willingness to share plans with the public regarding the north, but reiterates that this is not enough: "The residents will not return under promises of 'we will take care of them,' they must not be underestimated. "I am happy that the State of Israel is responding to our requests and sharing with us the direction we are going," Giora Zaltz, head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, said this morning (Sunday) on the Seven-Nine program with Udi Segal and Anat Davidov on Radio 103FM.

In his words, Zaltz referred to the statement of the IDF spokesman, Brigadier General Daniel Hagari last night, which he decided to dedicate to fighting in the north.

The IDF spokesman revealed that more than 3,400 targets have been attacked in Lebanon since the beginning of the fighting, and 200 terrorists have been eliminated since it began, in addition to more than 50 attacks carried out in Syria. "Our mission is to return the residents of the north to their homes safely," said Brigadier General Hagari.

"There is still a lot of work to do, but we are determined to meet it. We will be tested by actions, not words."

"The residents must see that there is a real economic plan here."

Saltz welcomes the transparency, but believes that a more orderly plan should be presented to the public.

"What I lacked was to say where they were aiming. I believe that if the army shows the residents that it is acting significantly, along with a plan for the economic rehabilitation of the north, the residents will begin to return to their homes within 3-6 months."

"The security in the north is much greater than on October 6, there is a feeling that you are being counted. However, there are feelings that are hard to argue with," Saltz continued.

"We know where the terrorists sit on the other side of the border, if we fire three missiles for every missile they fire in our direction, they will stop firing. It is the responsibility of the state and the army to ensure that the residents do not suffer from the threat of missiles."

The head of the council Zaltz repeats and emphasizes the importance of economic rehabilitation of the north.

"The residents must see that there is a real economic plan here," he said.

"This should not be underestimated, we need to start counting the residents of the north - we are not doing that at the moment. You cannot bring residents back and say 'we take care', it will not work here. We need to define both the military goals and the economic goal."
