Givati fighters today (Sunday) raided the office of Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of Yahya Sinwar, the head of the military wing of Hamas, in the "Alqadsia" outpost in Khan Yunis.
Inside the outpost, training compounds were uncovered that were used to train Hamas terrorists in preparation for the October 7 attack, including models of entrance gates to kibbutzim, bases, and IDF armored vehicles. The fighters also found rocket warehouses, underground tunnel shafts, and anti-tank missile batteries , RPG, machine guns, grenades and explosive charges.
During the operation, the fighters were faced with a double threat: already at the entrance, the fighters recognized that the outpost was riddled with many explosive devices - planted by a terrorist squad - and the engineering forces that accompanied the activity neutralized them.
Later, the terrorists, who were hiding in a nearby building, opened fire on the troops - and were eliminated by sniper fire, tanks and aircraft.

As part of the activity of the paratrooper brigade's combat team in the Al Amal neighborhood in Khan Yunis, the fighters today located weapons, dozens of terrorist infrastructures of Hamas, underground shafts, observation posts and factories for the production of various weapons.
The fighters identified in several incidents, terrorist squads that tried to shoot at them and place charges near them.
The paratroopers eliminated the terrorists in close-range battles, sniper fire, with the help of mortar fire, and shot down an Air Force aircraft.
In addition, following an intelligence indication, the fighters raided Hamas safes and the organization's currency exchange office, where they found more than NIS 3 million used as terrorist funds.
