Miesbach - Nothing will come of opening the daycare center on the Waitzinger Wiese in Miesbach at the beginning of February.
Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller announced this.
The reason is water damage.
As Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller reported at the most recent city council meeting, a “large-scale soil replacement” is necessary.
The damage was discovered during the preparatory work on the west side, i.e. towards the city, and on the north side, towards Waitzinger Keller.
Braunmiller described the measures now necessary as “time-critical” because the daycare center run by Kinderland Weyarn was supposed to create urgently needed childcare places.
Hoping to start on February 26th
Braunmiller is now hoping to start operations on February 26th, with costs expected to be around 25,000 euros.
However, no precise information was available at the time of the meeting and the cause of the damage had not yet been finally determined at the time this issue went to press.
However, Braunmiller ruled out tap water and also assumes an insurance claim.
“Action must be taken as quickly as possible,” Paul Fertl (SPD) made clear and his demand met with broad approval.
The city council therefore authorized Braunmiller to commission the necessary work immediately - and without another decision in the city council.
However, the parliamentary group spokespersons must be involved, who will pass on the information to their colleagues.
