The people of Weilheim sent a clear signal for democracy on Saturday at the demonstration, which had the motto “'Never again' is now - vote for democracy!”: Around 5,000 participants moved in a peaceful procession, accompanied by the Weilheim town band and the ringing of bells the Apostle Church from the bus station to Marienplatz and Kirchplatz.
Weilheim - Led by all three Weilheim mayors Markus Loth, Angelika Floc and Alfred Honisch, state councilor Andrea Jochner-Weiß, Brigitte Gronau, Felix Henkel, Marion Kunz-Schmieder and Schongau mayor Falk Sluyterman van Langeweyde, the procession moved into the city center, where A small stage was set up in front of the city museum.
There were statements from a wide range of social groups, with five students starting off.

In her welcoming speech, Ursula Münch, director of the Academy for Civic Education in Tutzing, sent a clear signal for democracy and thus against extremism.
The demonstration participants came from all population groups, children and senior citizens, clubs, associations, institutions, employees and employers, long-established residents of Weilheim and “Zug'roaste” from all over the world - in short, the broad base of the population showed the flag for democracy here as the basis of our coexistence.

Weilheim demo event absolutely peaceful
Despite the crowds, the demonstration was very peaceful, according to authorities.
The most prominent speech came from Professor Dr.
Ursula Münch.
She is director of the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing.
Protest participants were also able to listen to music from the New Orleans Dixie Stompers and William's Wetsox.
Also among the demonstrators was Richard Oehmann, the author of Singsoiel Nockherberg, with his mother, the artist Beate Oehmann.
The Weilheim Protestant Youth was also represented in large numbers with many colorful posters.
