Documenting the use of the application by the Medical Corps forces in the Gaza Strip/IDF spokesperson
The doctors, paramedics and therapists who accompany the fighting forces in Gaza and the Lebanese border have so far used paper and pen to make medical records of the wounded.
Now, the medical teams have been given tablets on which a unique application is installed that allows them to record the condition of the injured, his indicators on his way to the hospital and the treatment given to him in the field.
The information is transferred via NFC cards between the levels of treatment on the way to the hospital to which he will be transferred in Israel, which enables more efficient treatment of the injured.
The medical teams and fighting forces in the Gaza Strip have so far managed to meet an average evacuation time, by air and on land, of one hour and 16 minutes, despite the difficult conditions under enemy fire.
In some cases, they managed to get down to an evacuation time of less than 39 minutes from the moment of the injury to the arrival at the hospital.
Communication between IDF medical officials/IDF spokesperson
According to the CFR index, established by the US Army in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and indicating the quality of treatment and the speed of evacuation of the wounded in the field, this is a breakthrough in the functioning of the medical teams in the field - which led to the saving of the lives of many wounded soldiers.
In the IDF Technology and Logistics Division It is claimed that the improvement in saving lives was achieved, among other things, thanks to the large number of doctors in the combat area, with at least one stationed in each company, and especially in the front operation force units in the field.
The unprecedented scope of medics and paramedics enables fast and professional treatment and the average immediate treatment takes between one and seven minutes.
