The debate about humanitarian aid - whether to allow it to the Palestinians or not - takes on a different meaning in light of data that is published here for the first time.
According to military officials who spoke in closed discussions with political officials, it appears that about 60% of the aid that enters the Gaza Strip goes to Hamas.
In Rafah, which has not yet been occupied by the IDF, Hamas controls the entire amount of humanitarian aid that enters the city.

In light of these data, Ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot from the state camp propose the suspension of humanitarian aid for a short period - until an alternative mechanism to the one that exists today is established.

"Even 10% of the humanitarian aid that reaches Hamas is very serious, so 60% is very bad," says a senior official involved in the issue.
"This means that more than half of the population in Gaza is still eating from the hands of Hamas. This is an event that threatens the entire military achievement and the goal of dismantling Hamas."
There are those in the cabinet who criticize the arrival of humanitarian aid to Hamas.
According to them this is happening because the Israeli government is procrastinating with decisions on how to act on the ground already now.

In the meantime, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich referred to the first publication in "Israel Today" from last week, according to which the IDF was asked to prepare a plan so that humanitarian aid does not reach Hamas. One of the options being considered is the distribution of aid through IDF soldiers with the help of an international body.

"The most serious thing is that Hamas is re-establishing its power and control in Gaza with the help of the humanitarian aid that reaches it," said the minister.
"From the first day of the war, I said in the cabinet and in the relevant forums that the way humanitarian aid enters Gaza needs to be changed. Unfortunately, for many weeks this thing has been conducted incorrectly."
According to him, the IDF is the one that should manage the humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.
