Veitshöchheim - Last year as a carpenter, this year as a bricklayer - Hubert Aiwanger, the Bavarian Economics Minister from the Free Voters, says he wants to make a statement for the craft during carnival.
“Germany has to put a few stones together again,” he said on Friday evening (February 2nd) before the “Fastnacht in Franconia” ceremonial meeting in Veitshöchheim.
“Long live honorable craftsmanship,” he added.

A large number of members of the Bavarian state government had gathered in Lower Franconia, not only to show off their disguises, but also to endure the ridicule of the stage speakers and cabaret artists.
