Peißenberg

– The “Frohsinn 2000” children’s carnival has been popular for years.

This year it was not the only event for the party-loving young people in Peißenberg.

Because a teen ball was organized for the first time.

At the children's ball in the Tiefstollenhalle, all the tables were occupied half an hour before the start.

More chairs were continually brought out of storage.

Since most of the children were going full throttle on and in front of the stage all afternoon anyway, the lack of seats wasn't a problem.

Cowboys, ninjas, princesses and fairies, clowns and animals of all kinds danced together.

With popular party hits like “Tschu tschu wah” or “Börperteile-Blues”, some “Frohsinn” girls demonstrated the appropriate movements and the children eagerly participated.

Polonaise through the hall

A polonaise through the hall was a must.

Other playful interludes such as the newspaper dance or the “bobsledder song” were a welcome change in the program.

This also included the performances by the “Minidancers” and the Zwergerl-Garde, which were rewarded with thunderous applause.

Those who lined up with balloon artist Juki, who knotted swords and animals in unison, needed patience.

Songs to join in, here the “Bobfahrer” song, were popular with the children.

There was also a queue in the foyer that evening at the Teenie Ball, to which everyone aged ten and over was invited.

It was the photo box that attracted visitors.

The images that were printed out immediately were more popular with many people than selfies with their smartphones.

Long line at the teen ball

The non-alcoholic and lovingly decorated cocktails were an absolute hit.

At times the helpers at the bar could hardly keep up with mixing “Crazy Frog”, “Ipanema” and “Frohsinn Sunrise”.

Just like burgers and fries, everything was available at a low price.

The dance floor was always well attended.

A DJ played with a feel for the musical tastes of around 150 young people.

Screaming happily and singing along loudly, the young people proved themselves to be versed in the lyrics.

There was time to rest during the Teeniegarde's performance.

The atmosphere was also good behind the scenes.

The “Frohsinn” board members drew a satisfied conclusion.

“It’s just amazing,” said Andreas Schmid happily.

Christine Schmid thought the whole day was “bombastic”.

“It’s great that it’s been so well received,” said Monika Böhm enthusiastically.

Everyone agreed: The Teenie Ball will remain in the “Frohsinn” program and will be repeated next year.
