The city of Leutkirch is starting the tourist year 2024 with a new image film. The public premiere of the film, which is around twelve minutes long, recently took place at the city's New Year's reception.

Leutkirch - The film was developed and implemented in the summer of 2023 as part of the “predication process” of the city of Leutkirch as a “state-recognized resort”.

“With the film, we managed to impressively show the specialist committee the potential of the large district of Leutkirch in a short space of time,” emphasizes Julia Panzram, head of the Leutkirch Tourist Information Office.

The new film, which was made in collaboration with filmmaker Steffen Oesterle from Wangen, presents the tourism-relevant infrastructure in the city and the eight Leutkirchen towns. The protagonists are not only the core city with its gastronomic offerings and business life, but also the local recreation areas such as the Wilhelmshöhe, the city pond or the adventure trail on the former railway embankment.

Each of the eight Leutkirchen towns is also presented with its wide range of leisure, relaxation and pleasure offerings.

In the film, a family of four as the main characters and local ambassadors go on a journey of discovery through the city and the countryside.

The hilly foothills of the Alps around Leutkirch are ideal for hiking and cycling.

In winter there are perfectly prepared cross-country ski trails and the new ice skating rink in the heart of the old town.

The cultural heritage with the many churches and chapels as well as the art and culture scene also play a major role.

Enjoyment is not neglected either.

The local restaurants and regional producers present their range of specialties.

The idyllic scenes are embedded in the typical Allgäu landscape, with meadows, ponds and cows in the pasture.

A two-minute trailer gives a foretaste of the diversity in and around Leutkirch.

Become part of the Allgäu homeland

True to the motto “your vacation – our home,” visitors are invited to become part of the Allgäu homeland through the film and discover why Leutkirch is not just a place, but an experience for the whole family.

The film can be seen on the city of Leutkirch's website at www.leutkirch.de/film.
