As if Valérie Pécresse had decided to whistle the end of recess.
After months of governance crisis, marked by the disengagement of the departmental council then the resignation of the site's boss, the leisure island of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines sees the end of the tunnel.
The president (LR) of the Île-de-France region reveals to us that she will take over management.
“We are going to save this island,” exclaims Valérie Pécresse, very attached to the future of the 12 regional leisure islands, which the region owns without ensuring their daily management.

In passing, the president scratches the department of Yvelines, at the origin, according to her, of this serious crisis of governance.
“By stopping funding the island, the department has turned its back on the social vocation that was supposed to be its own.
I don't understand it.
When we play as a team, we are united and we do not score against our side

There is no question that the inhabitants of the area, often disadvantaged families, will pay the price.
I will not abandon them because the island is the garden of those who do not have one.
The riots of last summer also oblige us more than ever to reaffirm the social character of the site, it is a bubble of oxygen for its inhabitants.
