The new semester at the adult education centers (Vhs) begins in mid-February.
Registrations are already in full swing.
You can choose from around 250 courses in Peißenberg.
Peißenberg – “#regional – diverse and close” is the common semester theme that those responsible for the adult education centers in Pfaffenwinkel have come up with.
“We want to highlight what is available here,” explains Peißenberg Vhs director Marco Sailer and adds: “Our strength is that we are on site, know the people and know what is there.” Often it is just that a small step towards discovering new things.
Hike through the tunnel and nature
You can experience your homeland on a tunnel hike, on hikes through the Murnauer Moos or around the Osterseen or several offers on the Lech.
Graduate biologist Volker Haar reports on the special features of the black spawning moor, looks into the future in “Das Lichtfilz, a moor from the end” and introduces the bird world of Lake Zell.
You can get an insight into the deer enclosure, the perennial nursery and the blueberry plantation during a tour of the Kreilhof.
Participants can also experience the animals up close in the “Fascination of Honey Bees”.

Free offers from Vhs Peißenberg for volunteers
Several free lectures can also be found in the program, such as “Reich citizens and self-administrators – harmless weirdos or dangerous extremists?”
There are two free offers for volunteers, which focus on the topics of “recognizing your own potential” and “setting boundaries”.
In cooperation with the police, Chief Inspector Simon Braut explains “shock calls and trick fraud” and shows strategies to protect yourself.
In the lecture “Civil Courage in Everyday Life”, he also advises how to behave in potential help situations.
The various first aid courses are a completely new block.
A basic course offers a broad basis for everyone.
Anyone who would like to specialize in the areas of children, seniors or leisure and household can take another module and receive a certificate upon completion.
Mental health is the focus of a new mindfulness course.
Consumer topics are very popular in Peißenberg
“Financial and legal and all consumer topics are very popular,” says Sailer, pointing to the extensive offerings in this area.
The program also includes various courses and lectures on new energies and climate protection.

Most exercise courses are a sure-fire success.
In many of them there are hardly any places left, reports Sailer.
Due to the large number of people, a new Pilates course for beginners was launched.
Also new to the program is the “Have fun and time for yourself with Hula Hoop and Qigong” course.
Participants can let their creativity run wild in several painting and drawing courses, sewing or goldsmithing.
Many tried and tested language courses continue to be very popular.
A new “English Refresher” offer is available in Hohenpeißenberg.
For the next generation, the selection at the “young Vhs” is wide-ranging.
Wilderness courses, self-defense, dancing, painting, pottery, sewing, skating or archery: children and teenagers are treated to exciting activities in the program.
The new program is available in the VHS and in many stores, and registration is already possible.
