A day before the planned closure of the Ammunition Hill site due to budget cuts, the Minister of Jerusalem and Israel's Tradition, Meir Proosh, met today (Monday) with the chairman of the Six Days Heritage Center at Ammunition Hill, and the chairman of the board of directors, Menachem Landau Keteri Ma'oz and assured them that he would work to move two Millions of shekels for the ongoing operation of the site.

The danger of closure was revealed for the first time on Network B of the Broadcasting Corporation.

According to the arrangement established between the minister and the management, about half a million shekels from the budget earmarked for special activity of the site, will now be transferred and used for the current activity of the site.

An additional million and a half shekels will be diverted from the budget of the Ministry of Jerusalem and Tradition to the Ammunition Hill site.

"The Ammunition Hill Center is an integral part of the Jerusalem heritage of the Six Day War," said Minister Proosh.

"The situation in which such an important body is in danger of being closed is outrageous. Such a body must not be left without a government home and I expect that the political discussion on its matter will end as soon as possible."

"It is forbidden for such a body to remain without a government home."

Despite Minister Proosh's willingness to help, the Ammunition Hill site is not out of danger of closure.

In addition to a budget of two million shekels that will be transferred from the Ministry of Israel's Tradition, the Ammunition Hill site needs a budget of 2.5 million shekels from the Prime Minister's Office, which is unclear at this stage.

If all the budgets are passed, NIS 4.5 million, which is barely enough, will be available to the site in 2024. And as for next year - nothing changes.
