A resident of Ra'anana who was violently arrested in front of his family members and his children filed a complaint with the police today (Monday) against one of the police officers in which he claimed that the police officer arrested him in vain and used violence against him while he was handcuffed. The man, a 38-year-old resident of Ra'anana, arrived a few weeks ago with his wife and two young daughters and other family members to spend time on the boardwalk at Tel Aviv Port. During the time, the resident got into an argument with police officers who were in the area due to parking, and they asked to arrest him for obstructing a police officer and disturbing public peace. "They had no reason to even detain me," claimed the man who was arrested in a conversation with Walla!. "I didn't violate any of their orders, I didn't confront them and I didn't curse."

And yet, in the documentation that came into my possession, the 38-year-old can be seen being thrown to the floor by the police in front of his family members and children - while one of them presses his knee on the suspect's neck , they try to handcuff him with his hands behind his back. Later they even point pepper spray at his eyes.

The detainee, who has no criminal record, was taken to the North Tel Aviv Police Station and after being interrogated was released to his home without restrictive conditions and with bruises on his body.

"Police violence is a sick evil that undermines the rule of law," said the suspect's defense attorney, attorney Einat Ben Moshe, "It is unthinkable that a normal family that went out for a family outing on Shabbat would experience such severe violence and trauma for no wrongdoing."

My client intends to act by any legal means in order to bring the law to an end with the police officers involved and to make sure that similar cases do not happen again.

" The officers suspect getting out of the vehicle, after being asked not to get out, while he tries to physically confront the other driver.

To prevent violence from the suspect, the police officers separated him and the other driver, but the suspect began to attack the police officers while being urgent and did not listen to their calls to stop.

Contrary to what was claimed and in view of the violent behavior of the suspect, he was arrested by the police after he resisted arrest, and later he continued to rage and rant at the police station."
