Last Monday , the King of England,
Charles III,
left the London hospital where he had been admitted the previous Friday, when he underwent surgery for an
enlarged prostate.
The official report said that the king had a “
corrective procedure
” for prostate hypertrophy.
The British king left the London Clinic, located in the center of the English capital, shortly before 3 p.m. (local time)
accompanied by Queen Camilla
, with whom he walked towards the car that was waiting for them.
Charles III, who ascended the throne 16 months ago, was diagnosed with
benign prostatic hypertrophy
on January 17 after experiencing undisclosed symptoms.
"The king was discharged from hospital following
planned medical treatment
and has rescheduled upcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recovery," Buckingham Palace said in a statement last Monday.
75 years old, Carlos III thanked the work of the medical team that treated him, as well as all the messages of good wishes he received during the last few days.
"His Majesty thanks the medical team and everyone who helped him during his stay in the hospital, as well as all the kind messages he has received in recent days," concluded the official text issued from the Royal Palace.
A
crowd of curious onlookers
and journalists gathered at the exit of the hospital to greet the monarch, who appeared smiling and in apparent good health.
Dressed in a black suit and coat, the monarch greeted the crowd waiting for him at the exit.

According to several British media, Buckingham expects that Charles III
will not participate in official activities
for a month
in order to complete his recovery.
Just a few hours earlier, the king's daughter-in-law,
Catherine, Princess of Wales
, had left that same center, having undergone "
abdominal surgery
" almost two weeks ago, of which hardly any details were known.
Catherine, 42, who returned to her home in Windsor to continue her recovery, "is making good progress," according to a note from her official home, Kensington Palace.
The Prince of Wales, William, has not assumed official duties yet, while his wife remained hospitalized and will not do so during her convalescence to accompany her and take care of their three children, Princes George, Charlotte and Louis.
