Comedies are a big hit at the cinema box office and television audiences.
Talk shows would be nothing without the presence of comedians.
The platforms compete for their shows and Canal + gives them carte blanche for autofiction series.
They attract spectators by the thousands, filling comedy clubs and stadiums, and Internet users by the millions on You Tube, Daily Motion or elsewhere.
Often shunned at the Césars, with only one category at the Molières, humor fully deserved its ceremony!

With six producer friends, they come together within an association, La Communauté de l'humour, to manage this new project.
The name of the ceremony quickly became apparent: the Auguste de l’humour.

The Augustus is the joker, bumbling and mischievous clown,”
he said,

The important thing in humor is as much the personality as the work of the comedian.

Each artist is unique, it is difficult to judge, to put two people in competition

Unstoppable parades, the Augustes will reward young talents and the biggest ticket sales!
Five prizes will be awarded: Comedy web video revelation artist (4 nominees), Humor scene revelation artist (4 nominees), French-speaking humor scene revelation artist (4 nominees), Comedy show (prize awarded to the artist, the author, the director for the show which brought together the most spectators in France), Honorary Prize (in recognition of career).

The voters' academy will have 150 professional members and will be equal: 30 producers - broadcasters - filmers, 30 programmers of theaters, comedy clubs, festivals, 10 members of training schools, 30 media personalities, 10 members of professional organizations and 40 artists.
There may also be a public vote for one of the revelation categories.
The awards evening, scheduled for February 2025 in Lille as part of the festival, will be broadcast on television.

The “Auguste de l’Humour” trophy will be revealed soon.
It will be produced by Bordeaux-based Auguste (aka Alexandre Thibauld), a fan of Pop Art.
