Stefanie Hertel chatted on “Riverboat” about what happened backstage at Florian Silbereisen’s shows – and she made a surprising confession.

Leipzig – On Friday evening (February 2, 2024), the presenters Kim Fisher (54) and Matze Knoop (49) welcomed,

among others, pop singer Stefanie Hertel (44) to the mdr “

Riverboat ”.

They have just published a book about herbs, namely “The Wonderful World of Herbs – My Family Recipes for Healing and Enjoying from Nature’s Garden”.

In this context, the 44-year-old also told a few private anecdotes - including from earlier times at Florian Silbereisen's (42) shows.

“Riverboat”: Stefanie Hertel surprised Matze Knoop with her knowledge of herbs

Matze Knoop was surprised that Hertel was interested in herbs.

However, as the musician reported, she was a herb lover as a child and grew up with nature.

There she also collected herbs for her mother to make tea.

And today Stefanie, who has also had to present with a broken arm, lives in a small village in the mountains in Bavaria and, according to her own statements, goes out into nature with “herb friends” to collect.

Stefanie Hertel, who is often accused of saying that her marriage to Stefan Mross was just PR, presented an alpine herbal tea and a herbal schnapps that she had created in the “Riverboat” round.

While talking about herbs, Matze Knoop also talked about bloodroot: “I heard that you and Florian Silbereisen backstage always focused on bloodroot.” Hertel explained that the root is mixed with schnapps and turns blood red.

Bloodroot is also available commercially in the Bavarian Forest, where Florian comes from, and probably has around 50 percent alcohol, which is why you get drunk very quickly.

“Florian’s father always brought it with him back then.

Florian stopped later when he was traveling alone.

But his father always had it with him and gave it to the musicians,” Hertel reported.

But the liquor was only given after the show and not before the performance.

“They sometimes had a bit of a headache the next day,” says the musician.

However, this anecdote did not stop those present from trying Stefanie's 21-herb liqueur, which also contains bloodroot.

The versatile Hertel recently expressed her irritation at being labeled as just a pop star.
