If Raphaël Glucksmann is unanimous today to represent the Socialist Party in the European elections, his name could well have been forgotten.
History has forgotten him but the hat could have gone to Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, the mayor of Rouen.
The first secretary, Olivier Faure, made the proposal to him to find a way out of the crisis at the incredible congress of January 2023. At the end of the results, the two men were given to each other while their respective camps denounced fraud during the vote.
“They don't buy me with positions
,” replied Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, engaged in the internal battle to protest against
the “alignment”
of the PS with LFI within Nupes.
The knot was finally untied differently: Olivier Faure was reappointed on the basis of the vote on the orientation texts - a sort of first round - where he came well ahead.
