Trial begins at the Munich regional court: According to the indictment, a Geretsried woman (30) is said to have tried to kill her boyfriend with poisoned spaghetti Bolognese.

Health Minister Karl Lauterbach was also on their death list.

Munich/Geretsried – He loved spaghetti Bolognese.

Best when seasoned nicely.

That's why his fiancée decided to mix a high-dose sedative with this sauce.

She wanted to kill him, then kill an older woman and then kill Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach.

But it didn't come to that.

The friend survived.

The mentally ill woman turned herself in.

Her trial began on Monday morning at the Munich II Regional Court.

The presiding judge Thomas Bott did “hard work” to get any information from the 30-year-old about her planned “series of attacks” in April 2023.

The defendant, a nurse at the Wolfratshausen district clinic, only answered briefly with “yes” or “true, yes”.

The motivation for their murderous desire came from the generally tense living situation in Germany.

The woman felt annoyed because of the asylum seeker situation and what she saw as the inaction of the government.

Her private life also affected her.

The planned wedding had fallen through and her wish to have children was not fulfilled.

Then she decided to kill an elderly neighbor because she suspected her of being a potential voter for the established parties.

Geretsriederin got information about murder witnesses at the boarding school

The Geretsried resident found out about types of killing and murder tools on the Internet.

She ordered a bow and a survival knife with an eight-inch blade.

She wanted to use it to hit her victims in the jugular.

The neighbor spotted her on a forest path in the evening and then dragged her to a neighboring park.

There were not yet fully developed plans for Karl Lauterbach.

Only that she wanted to come to Cologne and lure him to his apartment so that she could then aim her bow at him.

She hadn't thought about the bodyguards.

But her plans failed because of her fiancé, a technician (31), who was always at home.

“He was in the way,” said the 30-year-old completely emotionless during the trial.

“I should have explained to him where I was going in the evening,” she added.

Hey darling, I'm buying food today, I hope you like Bolognese.

The defendant sent this information to her fiancé via text message on the day of the crime.

The desire to kill someone had preoccupied her every day.

“He was always present.

I went to work.

I don’t know how I did it,” she recalled.

On the evening of the crime, she wrote to her fiancé on her cell phone: “Hey darling, I'm buying food today, I hope you like Bolognese.” At home, the first thing she did was grind the Pipamperone tablets that she had from her own stock.

Pipamperone has a sleep-promoting, calming and antipsychotic effect in chronic psychoses.

An overdose can lead to cardiac arrest and subsequent death.

The 30-year-old stirred the ground tablets into the tomato paste, which she then mixed with the finished sauce at the very end.

She gave her fiancé a plate and disappeared onto the balcony because, according to the prosecution, she didn't want to watch him die.

Murder victim collapsed in bathroom

At some point he called her for help because he had previously collapsed in the bathroom.

the 31-year-old asked her to call an emergency doctor.

After initial treatment, he was taken to a hospital and treated in intensive care.

The defendant turned herself in to the police just a few hours later.

The process continues.
