Neumarkt/Feucht - A tragic traffic accident occurred on Saturday evening, February 3rd, on the BAB 6 near Dippersricht (Neumarkt id Opf. district), in which a 54-year-old biker lost his life.

As already reported by the police, a 32-year-old Audi A 4 driver drove his vehicle on the federal highway 6 in the direction of Amberg.
Between the Altdorf and Alfeld junctions there was a collision with a motorcyclist who was traveling in the right lane.
The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear.
The motorcycle was equipped with two side cases and there were several bags and a dismantled bicycle on the rear rack.
As a result of the impact, the 54-year-old biker was thrown to the ground and suffered such serious injuries that he died at the scene of the accident.
The Audi driver was uninjured, but suffered shock.
The federal highway in the direction of Amberg was closed until 1:30 a.m. for the duration of the rescue work and the accident investigation.
During the closure, the Technical Relief Agency took care of the care and support of road users stuck in traffic jams.
