A large fire brigade operation is currently underway on the A8 towards Munich near Weyarn.
Apparently a Range Rover is completely on fire.

Motorists have free travel again on the A8 towards Munich.
At least that's what the current ADAC traffic forecast says.
According to initial information from the traffic portal, the closure between Weyarn and Irschenberg in the direction of Munich has now been lifted.

According to the ADAC, the closure of the A8 near Weyarn and Irschenberg in the direction of Munich has not yet been lifted.
Drivers must continue to be patient and exit at Irschenberg.
On the B472 in the direction of Miesbach you can also reach Munich via the intersection with the B318, but with a larger bypass.

The traffic jam between Weyarn and Irschenberg is persistent and continues to grow.
According to the current traffic report, the A8 towards Munich near Seehamer See is still completely closed.

A fire brigade operation is currently underway at the Weyarn junction in the direction of Munich.
This is reported by the Holzkirchen motorway police.
According to initial information, an off-road vehicle (Range Rover) caught fire for unknown reasons.

From the Weyarn junction onwards there is a significant backlog due to the extinguishing and rescue work.
The Munich direction had to be completely closed at times.
The backlog retreats towards Munich from Weyarn to Irschenberg.
There are also obstructions in the opposite direction between Holzkirchen and Weyarn.
The fire brigade, police and highway maintenance department are on site.
According to initial findings, no one was injured because the vehicle occupants were still able to leave their vehicle at the Weyarn exit.
