Closely and it can be said that even after Herzl 16 - the unruly and unbuttoned son of Matti and Ruthie Brodo's R2M group - a new cafe was actually born these days.
"Cafe 16" is his name.
Anyone who has ever come to Herzl 16, probably remembers that the first time it was difficult to understand where to enter the place.
For the benefit of the cafe, several showcases were broken and a new entrance was actually created directly from Herzl Street.
You can go there, order a good coffee from the barista, choose some tasty bites from the counter and start the day.

"The idea was to finally open the building to the street," explains Maayan Gabor, manager of Herzl 16, "out of a desire to transmit change and create a small, cute and pleasant place that is not afraid to listen to its customers."
The cafe was supposed to open on October 16, but the launch was postponed due to the situation.
On her Instagram page, a few weeks ago, she published a broad post about the opening, in which she wrote: "Cafe 16 at Herzl 16, because life goes on, we are slowly getting into a routine, maybe a little different, but we need to start moving, breathe, continue."

The cafe menu includes breakfast sandwiches such as egg salad, avocado or mozzarella cheese from the white dairy, cut vegetables with good tahini, yogurt and granola, fresh fruit salad.
You will also find savory and sweet pastries that are fun to combine with coffee from the best products of the R2M bakery and delicatessen - croissants and butter Danishes, brown scones with butter and jam and more.
In the future, the offer will also expand to sandwiches, pretzels and baguettes or focaccia.

The more serious lunch sandwiches range from a classic BLT and crispy eggplant, to a Vietnamese chicken bun and crispy chicken on a bun.
"Cafe 16 is both what we wanted to create for ourselves, and also what the audience asked for themselves," Gabor explains.
