In 2021 she received the shock diagnosis of cancer.

Doris faced the treatment marathon and endured radiation and hormone therapy.

She also had her lymph nodes removed.

Chemotherapy tablets followed.

“But Doris wanted to live, fought and was full of hope!

Me too.

We stuck together as a family.

You can only get through this together,” remembers Amigos star Karl-Heinz Ulrich.

But the cancer spread and by the end of 2023 her liver was also affected.

“Suddenly the metastases were everywhere,” says the pop singer sadly.

“They had spread too quickly and too aggressively.”

But Doris remained optimistic until the end - even when she had to go to the hospital a few days before her death.

“She wanted to be cared for there and was fully expecting to be released again.”

Karl-Heinz and his brother Bernd (73) canceled the “Amigos” performances until the end of February.

Karl-Heinz still can't imagine being on stage again.

“Somehow it has to go on.

“Doris loved that, exactly that life,” says the pop singer.
