A motorcyclist (56) died after an accident between Mintraching and Dietersheim on Sunday evening.
A driver overlooked him and hit him.

– A fatal traffic accident occurred in the southern Freising district on Sunday evening: A 56-year-old motorcyclist from Eching was killed on state highway 2350 between Mintraching (Neufahrn municipality) and Dietersheim (Eching municipality).
As the Freising traffic police reported, a 26-year-old man from Munich had turned his car around on a dirt road around 11 p.m.
When the 26-year-old wanted to get back on the state road, he overlooked the motorcyclist who was traveling on the St2350.
“The motorcycle collided with the side of the car and the motorcyclist fell,” the traffic police report said.
First responders managed to resuscitate the motorcyclist.
However, the 56-year-old died from his injuries at the scene of the accident.
The 26-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
The Echinger's motorcycle was badly damaged; the police estimate the damage at around 10,000 euros.
The front of the car was damaged and the material damage amounts to around 15,000 euros.
The two vehicles were seized for further inspection.
An ambulance, an emergency doctor and a rescue helicopter were at the scene of the accident, as well as the volunteer fire departments from Mintraching and Dietersheim with a total of around 20 emergency services and three vehicles.
The operation lasted until around 4 a.m.
A case has been initiated against the person who caused the accident and the investigation is ongoing.
