On Sunday, TV viewers were once again spoiled for choice: the latest Munich “crime scene” or would they rather watch the countdown to the RTL jungle camp finale?
One show emerges as the clear ratings winner.
Munich - At 8:15 p.m. on Sunday evening (February 4, 2024), two ratings guarantees competed against each other on TV again: ARD showed the Munich TV commissioners' latest criminal case with "Tatort: Das Wunderkind", while its competitor RTL showed the countdown for the long-awaited jungle camp finale was broadcast.
But which show did the audience tend to tune in to?
Clear winner: Munich “Tatort” beats the jungle camp countdown
Only recently did the Munich “crime scene” investigators Miroslav Nemec (69) and Udo Wachtveitl (65) announce their end to ARD.
On Sunday, the station showed the already filmed episode “The Prodigy” – and the ratings were impressive.

According to the ratings analysis by
dwdl.de
, 8.08 million people followed the “Tatort” detectives in their new criminal case on Sunday evening.
ARD thus gained a market share of 26.7 percent of the total audience and catapulted itself to the top of the TV ratings charts.
The ARD crime thriller was also ahead of the RTL jungle camp countdown among the younger target group (14 to 49 year olds).
There the station reached 1.61 million people and a market share of 22.7 percent.
Rating duel “Small vs. Big” (ARD) vs. “Das Supertalent” (RTL)
Already on Saturday (February 3, 2024), ARD and RTL climbed into the ratings ring: The public broadcaster showed the latest episode of Kai Pflaume's (56) “Small vs. Large” at 8:15 p.m., whereas its competitor RTL showed the second episode of “Das Supertalent” was broadcast – but here too the private broadcaster lost by far to ARD.
With 4.53 million viewers in the total audience and a market share of 18.4 percent, “Small versus Large” positioned itself at the top of the ratings list, as
dwdl.de
reports.
Jungle camp finale performs better than RTL countdown
In both categories, the countdown to the jungle camp did not perform as well as the actual finale at 10:15 p.m.
In terms of total audience, the preliminary show only reached 2.61 million viewers (8.9 percent).
RTL performed better in the relevant target group and came in second place directly behind “Tatort” with a reach of 0.95 million viewers (14.0 percent).

The private broadcaster didn't really lose with "I'm a star - get me out of here!": RTL has enjoyed very high jungle camp ratings over the last two weeks - despite repeated criticism from viewers.
