When leaving his train, a teenager was attacked by a homeless man who was quite drunk. The latter then outraged agents of the

" I'm sick.

It’s alcohol that is responsible,” moaned Loïc S., at the bar of the Compiègne court, this Monday.

“It wasn’t the alcohol that did it!”

», retorts an assessor.

The 46-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in prison, including one year with an order for immediate incarceration.

As a repeat offender, a previous suspended sentence was revoked.

Loïc S. will therefore go to prison for a year and a half.

This homeless person is known to residents who often see him in Compiègne.

On February 2, at 5:30 p.m. he was at the station.

The railway security agents saw him staggering outside the enclosure, until he fell to the ground.

Then a stream of passengers arrives.

Loïc S. shouts at them and grabs a 16-year-old boy by the collar of his jacket and hits him on the eyebrow.

Given his advanced state of alcoholism, fortunately he didn't do too much damage.

The SNCF security agents handcuffed him, subjected to showers of insults, and called the police.

It was only around 3 a.m. that the homeless man managed to blow into the breathalyzer.

“You had a level of 0.52 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air and this was hours after the attack.

This clearly illustrates your massive alcoholism,” notes the deputy prosecutor, Alix Matras.

“He no longer dares to take the train or even go out into the street”

Loïc S admits to drinking night and day, mainly beer.

He has been on the street for many years and has already undergone seven detoxification treatments.

But each time, he falls back into his ways and rubs shoulders with the wrong people.

He steals, fights, insults, degrades.

His criminal record shows 24 convictions including seven incarcerations.

The latest dates back to June 2021: a fight at Compiègne station, again.

The judge had also forbidden him to return there.

But habits die hard, and the forty-year-old returns there despite everything.

" I did not know.

I don’t remember anything,” he sighs.

“So you attacked this random 16 year old, it could have been anyone?”

», asks the judge.

“Maybe,” he whispers.

“In any case, my son is no longer reassured now.

I have to leave my job to pick him up from school because he no longer dares to take the train or even go out into the street,” testifies the victim’s mother.

Upon his release from prison, Loïc S. will have to undergo addiction and psychiatric treatment.

He will have to find work or training, and compensate the victims for their moral damage which amounts to 200 euros for the outraged SNCF agent and 500 euros for the attacked teenager.

He must no longer appear at Compiègne station under penalty of prosecution.
