The animal was “arrested” on suspicion of espionage and held in a veterinary clinic for the duration of the investigation.

The bird had been housed in an individual cage.

“The police have opened a case of suspected espionage against the pigeon.

But after the investigation ended, the lawsuit was dropped,” the newspaper said.

It is said to have been a stray racing pigeon from Taiwan and not a spy bird.
