A fatal accident occurred near Rott while working in the forest.

A terrible accident occurred last Friday in a forest near Rott.
An 84-year-old man from Hofstetten suffered such serious injuries during tree felling work that he died at the scene of the accident.
Rott - As the police report, the 84-year-old from Hofstetten and a 30-year-old from Weilheim were doing forest work near Rott last Friday when the accident occurred.
While felling a tree, the 84-year-old ran into the danger area despite his friend's warning calls, the police say.
With bad consequences: Although the tree fell in the planned direction of felling, the person from Hofstetten was hit in the head by the broken tree top that hit the ground.
The man suffered such serious injuries that any help came too late for him.
Despite attempts at resuscitation, the 84-year-old succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident.
