A fire broke out in a gravel works in Buch near Kirchseeon in the early hours of Monday, February 5th.

Fire departments from three districts responded to a fire in a gravel works in Buch.
The police are investigating.

– Major fire brigade operation on Monday, February 5th, from 4:45 a.m. in Buch (Kirchseeon municipality).
Initially it was assumed that there was a fire outside a gravel works.
However, when the Buch fire department was the first to arrive on the scene, the situation was completely different.
Among other things, there was a fire on a conveyor belt.
Two wheel loaders at a building were on fire.
And the building itself was also affected.
Emergency services from neighboring districts
Emergency services were quickly alerted, not only from the Ebersberg district, but also from the Munich and Rosenheim districts.
The connecting road in front of the gravel works was closed.
Additional water supply
In order to be able to fight the fire, an additional water supply had to be set up on the site due to a lack of water.
For this purpose, tank fire engines were initially used in shuttle traffic.
In addition, a 1200 meter long hose line was built.
Firefighters with breathing apparatus were deployed.

Police are investigating
The Erding criminal police are on site to determine the cause of the fire.
According to initial findings, several buildings and machines were damaged or destroyed.
The material damage caused cannot currently be quantified in more detail, but according to the police it is likely to be in the six-figure euro range.
According to current information, no one was injured.
