Fourteen people have been arrested over Sunday's riot at the Ponte Galeria CPR migrant pre-removal center in Rome, sources said on Monday.
The rest broke out after the suicide of a 22-year-old inmate at the facility.
Two Carabinieri police officers and an army soldier were hurt as stones were thrown at the staff and the rioters attempted to seta car on fire.
Police used tear gas to put down the riot.
Migrant inmates can be held in CPRs for up to 12 months.
