"Fighting food waste is a collective moral imperative that must involve producers, distributors, consumers and institutions. In addition to information campaigns to promote greater awareness and virtuous practices on the topic, the National Waste Prevention Programme, which is about to be finalized by the Ministry of the Environment and energy security, contains a specific section with dedicated measures. To preserve the planet's resources, make the path towards sustainability more efficient and guarantee the right to food for all".
This was declared by the Deputy Minister for the Environment and Energy Safety Vannia Gava on the occasion of the 11th National Day for the Prevention of Food Waste.
